Wedding Venue: Discovery Harbour, Penetanguishene Midland Ontario
So many couples choose to forgo tradition and see each other before their ceremony. Doing so is beneficial from the perspective of a Midland wedding photographer because it allows more time for portraits of the bride and groom than the standard timeline would. In the standard timeline, these portraits take place immediately following the wedding ceremony, but prior to the reception, along with images of the bridal party and families. This is a very chaotic time in a wedding day, and there is rarely opportunity for unique or creative wedding photo ideas. For this reason, I love couples choosing to do a "first look" with each other.
A less common request is for the bride and/or groom to do a staged "first look" with their parents. Similar to their first look together, this allows additional time for photographs of the parents on the wedding day. In this image, the bride's mother is seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time, just moments before the limo arrived to pick them all up. Her sister is standing to her right, also involved in the scene. I love capturing moments like this for my Midland wedding photography clients!
