FLASHBACK

If you are looking for classic luxury on your fairytale day, look no further than one of Ontario's finest banquet facilities. Well equipped and experienced in the even the largest and most elaborate celebrations, but often flexible to accommodate smaller affairs, a banquet hall offers peace-of-mind that allows you to relax during the planning process, and on the big day.

When planning your banquet hall wedding, bringing a theme to the space is a little tougher than with other venues, such as rustic barns, which come with a theme pre-established. Banquet halls are a clean slate, offering you endless choice as you customize the space. The good news? Most banquet halls provide a site manager to offer suggestions of what other couples did previously, and will work with you on the aspects that make the space unique to you as a couple.

Another big advantage of banquet halls is that most come with a caterer, DJ and other select vendors who are already established in the space with their own equipment built-in. Having these key players already in place is one more thing checked off your To-Do List.

Best Banquet Halls in Ontario

The Arlington Estate

It doesn't get much grander than The Arlington Estate. Situated in the city of Vaughan on seven perfectly manicured acres, and in front of a 1.5 acre pond, there is much to see outdoors while your guests await your grand entrance -- be it by car, or helicopter! That's right: The Arlington Estateis among the only wedding venues in Canada to offer their own fully functional helicopter landing pad, steps away from the outdoor ceremony patio. Every event is assigned a dedicated Experience Specialist who will work with you to coordinate a fully customized menu and bar package, that may include personal authentic wood-fired pizza cooked in front of your guests and served hot as a late-night snack.

The Manor

Looking for an elegant banquet hall close to the city, but with the waterfront "feel" of the Muskokas? Consider The Manor in Kettleby, situated only a few minutes from Highway 400 but with gorgeous scenic views that transport you and your guests to the quiet of the countryside. This venue offers a spacious white tent attached to the main building, offering shelter from wind and rain. Your ceremony takes place at the front of the tent, backing onto the pond for a straight-out-of-a-magazine view. My favourite feature of this venue is a shaded courtyard area in front of a waterfall that serves as the perfect background for your family portraits after the ceremony.
