Although weddings are very busy days, if you can spare a few minutes at the end of the day, possibly as guests are dancing up a storm at your wedding reception, it can be fun to slip outside into the quiet of the night for some backlit portraits of the bride and groom. In this image, a brick wall was used as the background. My assistant was tucked behind the couple holding a flash that my camera triggers. The night wedding portrait outlines the couple, similar to a silhouette, only instead of light all around them, only the edges of their bodies are illuminated. Night portraits can be a great way to conclude your wedding album. They are fun to photograph because there are so many ways to use the light, and they have such a dramatically different look than photographs taken earlier in the wedding day.
