Liberty Village

Dog-Friendly? Yes, however a leash is strongly recommended and most areas we visit will be along busy streets.

Best Season to Visit: All seasons.

Privacy Level? Very public. Visible from the street, and pedestrian sidewalks.

Permit Required? No.

Parking Fee? It depends where you put your car! Some streets have free parking, and others have metres.

Guildwood Park (aka Guild Inn Gardens)

The Guild Inn Estate is a popular venue for social gatherings, and an especially stunning place for weddings. A grand, romantic interior , paired with plush, scenic outdoor views will be the perfect wedding scene.

Distillery District

A visit to Toronto wouldn't be complete without a trip to the historical Distillery District. Loved by many for the authentic brickwork buildings, handcrafted artisan goods and delicious cafes, this area offers a taste of the big city in a quaint community. Views of the CN Tower can be seen from the region. In the holiday season the entire area is decorated with string lights and a gigantic Christmas tree, fully illuminated.

Dog Friendly? Yes, outdoors only.

Best Season to Visit: Year-round, although the winter holiday decor is marvellous!

Privacy Level: Low. This is a small space frequented by both locals and tourists. While we will do our best to limit the number of people visible in the backgrounds of images, having them pass by during your session is unavoidable.

Permit Required? Yes. Please contact the City of Toronto for more details.

Parking Fee? Yes. There is an underground parking lot as well as a few city lots within a short walking distance to the Distillery District. Expect to pay at least $15/vehicle, however rates vary based on the time of day, day of week, season and current local bylaws.

Edwards Gardens

Edwards Gardens is a beautiful spot located within the Toronto Botanical Gardens. It offers a gorgeous space that is both indoor and outdoor. The scenery is ever changing and makes it the perfect spot for a wedding- anytime of the year.

*note: they allow up to 10 couples to buy a permit per Saturday.

Permit Required? Yes, $380+HST/2 consecutive hours. Multiple permits are given out each day, especially on summer weekends. Keep in mind that while this is a large location, other couples may be on the premise at the same time, and thus certain areas may have restricted access on that basis.

James Gardens

This beautiful garden located on the west bank of the Humber River is gorgeous with its terrace stoned pathways and the spring fed pools and streams. This allows the gardens to be clean and natural feeling all at the same time. The gardens have many amazing architectural features with gazebos, pathos and bridges that bring out the natural landscape the gardens have to offer.

Guelph University Arboretum

Absolutely stunning doesn't describe it. This beautiful park features a wooden gazebo surrounded by a maze of trimmed hedges, bright floral gardens lining long stretch of pathway, beautiful birch forests and a central fountain surrounded by benches. A lovely place for a quiet rest or an autumn walk,this location is perfect for engagement photography.

Dog Friendly? Yes.

Best Season to Visit: Year-round, although the autumn foliage is absolutely breath-taking.

Privacy Level: Moderate. This is a large park with plenty of lower-traffic areas, however do expect some people to pass by including laughing children and leashed dogs.

Permit Required? No.

Parking Fee? None required at the time of writing this webpage, however please check online or phone ahead at the time of your engagement session to confirm.

Allan Gardens

“Allan Gardens Conservatory is over 100 years old with a garden-filled greenhouse that covers over 16,000 square feet. This garden is open to the public year-round. It contains tropical plants from all over the world from palm trees to cacti. There are also seasonal plantings throughout the year.”

Most enchanted location that is designed around Bach’s first Suite for Unaccompanied Cello. The garden follows each dance movement creating a new garden section for each dance. During the summer there is also many classical music artists who play throughout. Great for engagement sessions.

Humber Arboretum

Nestled in the northwest corner of the city, the Humber Arboretum is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. Memorable wedding ceremonies, photography shoots, and other outdoor events have taken place on our grounds, while the views from the LEED Gold Certified Centre for Urban Ecology offer a unique location for meetings, workshops, conferences, and private celebrations.

Permits cost $250.00 for 2 hours (or $175 during the off-season, which runs October 16th - May 31st).

Parkwood Estates

Photography sessions inside the Parkwood mansion are unavailable July and August.

The magnificent grounds and heritage gardens of Parkwood Estate offer the perfect location for wedding photography. Favoured by professional photographers throughout the region, our grounds are attractive in any season. The estate is beautiful with or without flowers and features an abundance of mature evergreens, architectural elements and statuary that combine to create the perfect backdrop for exquisite wedding photographs.

Wedding parties of up to 20 persons may schedule a photo session on the grounds. Advance registration is required.
