This cake was positioned right in the doorway of the tent at Northbrook Farm. It was definitely a show-stopper for an Orillia wedding photographer such as myself because it fit the rustic charm of the Northbrook Orillia venue due to its naked appearence. In case you don't recognize the term "naked cake", this is a cake with very minimal icing, such that the sides are exposed. It is similar to the process of painting and weathering antique furniture by using sandpaper to remove excess paint and allow the wood to show through.
The cake is embellished with fresh fruit and sprigs of flowers, perfect for summer.
