Looking for a wedding venue in Muskoka? Consider Brooklands Farm, in Bracebridge, Ontario for your special day! The little guest house at Brooklands Farm is perfect for bridal party preparations on the wedding day. With this tiny window in the main bedroom, I loved capturing the single shaft of light as this bride and put final touches on her outfit -- bracelet, veil, and necklace. The reflection is created by a mirror on a dresser in the Brooklands Farm guest house. I used it as a focal point, drawing attention to the bride's face and showing her action from an alternate angle in a single wedding photograph. Creating dramatic light in my wedding photography is one of my favourite activities -- I am always on the lookout for the perfect space that adds an artistic element to a documentary scene. This same guest house at Brooklands Farm also featured a main living area large enough for the bridesmaids and a few family members to gather around and chat about the day ahead. A cozy wood burning fireplace added atmosphere and comfort to the space, making it suitable for year-round use. You can even get married at Brooklands Farm in the snow!
In a large dining hall attached to the guest house, windows are abundant, allowing a beautiful view of the rustic landscape as the bride and wedding party get their hair and make-up done. Finally, a modern kitchen serves as a great space for the bridal party to help themselves to a drink before the big event!
