Beaverton Wedding Photo on Waterfront

When a bride and groom choose their Peterborough wedding venues, they look at the physical reception space indoors firstly to ensure it will comfortably hold each of their guests, provide an adequate dance floor, and offer food service or allow an outside catering vendor. Part of this decision typically also includes consideration of how the outdoor space will photograph during their bridal party and couple's portraits on the day of the Peterborough wedding. In this case, the dock in Beaverton had sentimental value to the bride, as her mother lives only a few streets over and therefore the two of them spent a great deal of time there in past years. Furthermore, the dock was the location of a spectacular sunset every summer evening. Did I capture this scene closer to the couple, showcasing their expressions? Absolutely. Stepping back, however, draws in the full scene, giving context to the image. One thing I really loved when photographing this scene was the tree perfectly central in the image, giving it a sense of balance that is reflected in the water. In an image like this, many people would have used photography software to digitally remove the small boats and buildings along the horizon line. I chose specifically to leave them in this Beaverton wedding portrait because of the location significance to the bride and groom. Even though it may have given the image a more clean and crisp style, they most certainly would have noticed the dramatic change to the landscape and therefore the emotional value would be compromised. These are not MY wedding photos. These are THEIR wedding photos.
